The island of Nioumoune, in Senegal. Boniface, a young priest torn by his desires, escapes from his parish. On board his makeshift boat, he crosses a disturbing labyrinth of mangroves. In search of freedom, he embarks on a journey that will confront him with his past, his buried desires and the immensity of the Mauritanian desert.
