Ten-year-old Seydou is one of the best students in his class although he spends too much time playing with his two best friends: Matar and Justin.
To reward and encourage him, his father takes him to town to give him a gift. On the way, Seydou discovers, for the first time, the presidential palace. Fascinated by the splendor of the residence, he declares to his father that he wants to live there when he grows up.
