A film by Farid BENTOUMI

starring Zita Hanrot, Sami Bouajila, Céline Sallette et Olivier Gourmet

France, 2020, Fiction, 1h26, drama

Second Feature (by Farid Bentoumi, after his comedy "Good Luck Algeria")

NOTE BY THE PROGRAMMER (2020 Cannes Film Festival)
Second film also for Farid Bentoumi after the comedy Good Luck Algeria. It takes as a subject a health scandal about the toxic waste discharges of a chemical factory, the famous "red sludge". In the role of the alert labour nurse, Zita Hanrot forms a very powerful daughter/father duo with a Sami Bouajila who plays a more sincere than natural trade unionist, preferring cancer to unemployment. Also with Céline Sallette, who has just made her first short film for ADAMI, as a committed journalist.
