Roselene contemplates. Mary meditates. In the background are the long hours, the pandemic, the perilous and demanding care work. Through a rhythmic succession of archival and contemporary images, this essay suggests the historical continuity of the violence of labour policies and their repercussions on black women. "Sòl" evokes a prayer uttered in the middle of the night shift, a meditation.
