Afro-modern fusion mixing traditional and contemporary culture!
EVOLUTION, first show of the APAPSEY company created in 2011, stages a danced cultural journey: of the learning of the movement in total dumping in its context - in the heart of the host country (Mali) and of its traditions-, on the way back at home where this initiation loses of its shine, where the gesture empties little by little of its first meaning and is transformed according to our own culture, to our western referents, to our perception which evolves...
The music chants this evolution: of the pure malian traditional performance in a programming of electro music on which the warm tones of n'goni "surf" then compete there live djembe and drums !
A glance on what we are and learn about the others: the evolution was born thanks to the interpretation.
Two dancers and a dancer confront their styles and their universes, carried by the live music of two musicians (n'goni, carignan, djembe, dunun, drums) and an original electro programming consisted by Damisko.
This creation arose from a common will to transcend the limits of every art, to propose a live performance where the styles merge, in music as in dance, where everything is coeducation and constantly evolving!
