Robert is a versatile dance performer, teacher and choreographer who has had a career in informal and formal dance settings experiencing various dance styles.
Robert started dancing at the tender age of 12 in a traditional dance troupe called Sauti Africa. After this, he joined Bavubuka All Stars, a local hip-hop canvas based in Uganda where he engaged in break dance and graffiti. He stayed with this organisation for 2 years, leaving when the program left his neighbourhood.

Break dance
Robert started Speed and Funky dance, a community based project for 10-15 year olds in 2010. He believes that the project will evolve into a dance academy. He hopes to create a space for children to improve their dance abilities.
Robert sponsors 2 children at Gujjating African Art, where he stays. This organisation empowers the youth through art and he is the program coordinator.
Ongoing activities:
He is on a 6-month dance-training course with Nkwanzi, a traditional dance troupe where he is learning contemporary and traditional dance.

He worked with Uganda National Contemporary Ballet form 2012-2013

He took part in the inaugural Guerrilla Arts traditional dance camp in December 2013
