Since 1984, André Vanasse has used documentary film as an educational tool. He makes films in collaboration with institutions and associations working in various fields such as education, literacy, social economy, international cooperation, trade unionism, etc. In his work he uses the methods of popular education, putting audiovisual technology at the service of knowledge sharing. It is said that his work combines artistic sense and social sensitivity. Since 2005, André has been a regular visitor to Haiti, where he has made several documentaries with farmers' associations and trade unions. Several of these films have been shown at film festivals in various countries and broadcast on Haitian television. He also provided training in film-making and digital editing.
