Initially qualifying and working as a graphic designer for 15 years, Anne returned to University to study visual arts and gained a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in printmaking followed by an Honours degree. After teaching Fine Arts and Contemporary Art for many years in Australia, Anne moved to Vanuatu with her partner in 2009.«I have always be attracted to the tactile experience of drawing and it has remained the basis of my arts practice. Even when working in three dimensions we are still drawing with tools or hands. Drawing connects the artist and the medium. Drawing encompasses technique, conscious choice and intellect. But also, through observation and imagination, drawing is an immediate and intuitive conduit between eye and hand that translates as the image.»
