"Abiali percussions" was born due the will of 7 artists sharing a common passion for rhythms, the energy and colours of dances. Seven percussionists scintillating of life and ambition, marked by the tenacious will to assure a rich musical continuation, varied and significant, to give Africa its dignity and its self-respect.
The interactivity of our artistic experiences and our skills have enabled us after a percussion training course organised in 2004 by the Meka association and animated by the Burkinese drum master Amadou Kienou to start up our passionate adventure.
The report is clear our cultural patrimony is dieing, our knowledge, assets (hospitality, sharing, and exchange) go up in smoke for want of cultural politics and above all because the youths are not interested by it.
That's why we "Abiali percussions" have decided to make research so as to assemble this knowledge to preserve our artistic and musical know how for the future generations.
The finality of our work is to build between tradition and modernity, the foundation on which Africa can take support for, as much as the other continents, its own specific and independent place in this generalized cultural field: get back in the past to understand the press in order to better envisage the future.
