David Shongo is a young Congolese composer and visual artist living in Lubumbashi. His visual and sonic approach is characterized by decomposition and composition. In his work he addresses the psychological aspects of his country's colonial past, the social and economic transformations linked to the requirements of technological evolution in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He recently exhibited at the Museum Rietberg in Zurich as part of the large exhibition Fiktion Kongo.
