Manager External Affairs, World Bank, Eric Chinje currently heads the Africa Region.
Mr. Eric Chinje has previously served as a former CRTV news anchor, he joined the World Bank in 1992 as a consultant in the Africa External Affairs Unit, and he has since held various positions in the Bank.He has prior to this served on an external assignment in the African Development Bank where he was head of external affairs and communications.
Eric Chinje, among other things, strives and works to ensure that the activities of the World Bank are better understood and appreciated by Africans. One of his priority actions has been to set up systems that ensure timely and effective communication of the Bank`s strategy and initiatives to the Bank`s clients and partners in the Africa region.He also leads the Africa region communication staff in providing excellent coverage of operations, ensuring that all on goings in the sector do receive appropriate coverage, thus forging strong client relationships with all constituencies in Africa.
