Choreographer, Dancer
Principal country concerned : Column : Dance

Etueni is passionate about dancing because he believes that the Performing Arts are one of the most powerful mediums of communication. He strives to be an actor and a dance choreographer, hoping that one day he will debut his own dance production at the Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies. This young talented lad has morphed from a shy, soft-spoken novice to an opened minded professional artist attributing his achievements to the Oceania Dance Theatre Director Allan Alo and other international choreographers such as Richard Digoue (Niyan Dance Theatre, New Caledonia) and Bernadette Walong (AUT, Australia). Etueni has travelled with the Oceania Dance Theatre to American Samoa for the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts in 2008 and to China for the 1st Asia-Pacific Youth Arts Festival in 2007. These events opened his eyes to the diverse colours and cultures outside of Fiji. He has also toured to the western side of Viti Levu (Fiji's Mainland) performing Silence & HIV/AIDS as an awareness campaign sponsored by the University of the South Pacific.
