Fériel BEN MAHMOUD is a historian, political scientist, screenwriter, director, writer.

Fériel Ben Mahmoud was born on March 6, 1976.
Holder of a Master's degree in History from the Sorbonne, Paris and a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies from the IEP in Paris, she directed two documentary films for France 5 ("Ghadames, the pearl of the Sahara" and "Foum Tataouine ") before following the training in the film directing of the Ateliers Varan (Paris) in 2004.
Since then, she has produced numerous reports and documentaries for television. The Arab-Muslim world, both from a current and historical point of view, is at the heart of her concerns and her work as a director.
She is also the author of several historical books, including: "Bat' d'Af, the legend of bad boys" (Place des Victoires editions, 2005), "Voyage dans l'empire colonial français" (Place des Victoires editions, 2007), "Voyage en Orient" (with Nicolas Daniel, ed. Place des Victoires, 2008), "Algeria in the time of the French, a century of images" (with Michèle Brun, ed. Place Des Victoires, 2009), "Travel to the Orient, from the golden age to the advent of tourism (1850-1930)", or "Tunisia, a century of images (1857-1956") with Michèle Brun (ed. Place Des Victoires, 2012)".
