Born and raised in the Fiji islands, George Evans is a locally renowned installation and mixed media artist whose talents include elaborate interior large scale mosaic work and unique special order pieces that are featured in many resort properties and private homes.

George's distinctive collage work using a combination of natural materials representing Fiji's various tapa/ngatu traditions have also become prize pieces for discerning collectors over the years.

Currently revisiting his early work with paint and canvas, this versatile artist's latest collages blend layers of the elemental colours of Fiji's vibrant landscape with abstract tapa flora and fauna imagery, capturing the early nature of indigenous culture. His constant creative focus and appreciation for melding traditional Fijian elements with modern deco also sees George sort after for developing interior schemes for luxury homes and villas, particularly on Fiji's exclusive Denarau Island, and providing aesthetic direction at various Island Resorts.

Constantly on the move, and with an innate love of socializing to feel his inspiration, George can be found in Suva and Nadi studios, most often surrounded by the local personalities and artistic community who continue to inspire his work with their diverse cultural backgrounds and appreciation of all things Pacific.
