Jean Miché KANKAN (real name Dieudonné AFANA EBOGO) is an author, humorist and theater and television actor.

He is known for his humorous sketches "Le Permis de conduire" ("The Driver's License"), "La Carte d'identité" ("The Identity Card"), "La Fille du bar" ("The Girl from the Bar"), "Maladie d'Amour" ("Love Sickness"), "Les Bonbons alcoolisés" ("Alcoholic Sweets"), "L'Élève international" ("The International Student"), "Le Prêt d'argent" ("Money Loan").

In 2022, Joseph AKAMA, Cameroonian filmmaker, dedicated his first feature film KANKAN (biopic) to him, produced by Claye Edou and starring Landry Nguetsa as Jean-Miché Kankan. The film World Premiered on 24 September 2022 at the 18th Montreal International Black Film (MIBF, Quebec, Canada, September 20-25, 2022) where it won a MIBF Mention.

Jean Miché KANKAN was born in 1956 in Nkom (near Douala, Cameroon) and died February 13, 1997.

Jean Miché was born in the small village of Nkom in Cameroon, 50 km East of Douala, to Jean Ebogo and Madeleine Nga. He spent his childhood in Bertoua, then his adolescence in Yaoundé. When he became an adult, he was first of all a French language teacher in secondary school, then he left this job to work as a civil servant at Radio Cameroon. It was at this time that he prowled his humorous style.

Kankan was also his faithful wife, the famous "Maman Hélène".
