Kany J. Henry, born Luketa Kanyinda Jonathan Henry, is a Congolese screenwriter and director from Kinshasa, currently based in Conakry, Guinea. Driven by a deep passion for storytelling, he has established himself as a prolific filmmaker and creative visionary, blending discipline with artistry to craft compelling narratives. Since 2010, Kany has been the creative force behind KWG Films, where he has written and directed an array of projects ranging from short films (The Sound of Silence, Drug Addict, What If…?) to web series (Osty Lady, Kany Sisters, The Labyrinths of the Dreamer). His works delve into profound societal themes, resonating with audiences through raw emotion and universal stories. Collaborating with SGCM since 2022, Kany continues to refine his craft, producing thought-provoking projects that reflect his bold and authentic storytelling style. His earlier experience as a screenwriter and assistant director at Global Multi Media Prod (2016–2020) honed his expertise in narrative dynamics and visual direction, with credits in productions like Childhood Dreams and Return to the Land.
