French Journalist and Filmmaker.

Marcel TRILLAT (1940-2020) is a journalist and documentary filmmaker; PCF militant then supporter of the Left Front; unionized CGT.

Born on April 4, 1940, in Seyssinet-Pariset (Vercors, Isère, France), he died on September 18, 2020, at the age of 80.
Marcel Trillat became a journalist at the ORTF in 1965, working for the magazine Cinq Colonnes à la Une. He joined Antenne 2 TV Channel in 1981, where he was deputy news director in 1986. He was a Manager of France Télévisions from 2001 until his retirement in 2006.
At the end of his career at France 2, the channel gave him the directing of three documentaries, all devoted to the working class:
"Three hundred days of anger (Trois cents jours de colère)", "Les Prolos" and "Precarious women (Femmes précaires)".
