Muthoni Njoba started her lifelong love affair with make up at the tender age of 9 years. She vividly remembers 'being obsessive about eye liner' and is still obsessed with eye liner to this day! Her dreams of pursuing a career in make-up artistry began whilst studying her A-levels at King's College Taunton in Somerset, England however given the opportunity to fulfill her parents wish, she chose to complete an undergrad degree in Communications, Media and Culture at Oxford Brookes University, England. After graduating and moving home she pursued higher education in Human Resource Management while working at a leading Investment Firm in Nairobi. Two years later she took a leap of faith to follow her passion as a career and has never looked back.

Now she is the most elite Make-up artist in Kenya catering to the needs of Magazines, Advertisments/Commercials, Catwalks, Bridal parties and Celebrity/Personality appearances. Her portfolio includes clients in Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Addis Abbaba, South Sudan, Dubai and England.

After working 4 years as a full time self-taught freelance Make-up Artist, she finally fulfilled her lifelong dream in 2013 which was to attend Make-up school at the prestigious Academy of Freelance Make-up in London.

As a result of many people seeking information that would enable them to use make-up frequently and for special occasions, Muthoni has created a platform for sharing that knowledge through the BE.YOU.TIFUL Make-up Tutorials (previously known as the Mad About Make-up Workshops). She believes in creating opportunities for other make-up artists to facilitate their growth in the industry having herself been through many challenges in first starting up as a full time Make-up Artist.

In February 2015 Muthoni Njoba became the first Kenyan Make-up Artist to be assigned as the Lead Brand Ambassador of an International cosmetic brand. This makes her the 3rd Make-up Artist, in all of Africa, recruited by L'Oreal to be the Brand Ambassador and Official Make-up Artist of Maybelline New York Kenya.
