Burkinabese Film Producer, director and screenwriter. Oumar DAGNON is a Film Producer, director and screenwriter. He is part of the new generation of Burkinabé filmmakers. He graduated in Cinema Direction from the Ciné Cours Canada Film School and holds a Masters in Arts Management and Cultural Administration obtained in 2006 from the University of Ouagadougou. He is the author of "Multiprise", a television series of 26 episodes and 26 minutes, produced in 2011. Oumar DAGNON created his production company 3eme Oeil productions in 2009. With this company, he produced and directed AT THE KINGDOM OF INFIDELS (AU ROYAUME DES INFIDÈLES, shot in January 2012, theatrically released in 2012, followed by LE TRAP OF PASSION, official selection for the TV feature film competition at FESPACO 2013. The same year, LES AMANTS INFIDÈLES was released. In 2014, he returned with his fourth feature TU ME PRENDS POUR QUI? ("Who do you think I am?"), which takes third place in the Burkinabé box office (according Burkina Faso Cinema Succès). Then he directed a mini-series IN FACT... DEFEATED, 20 episodes of 5 minutes each (Official competition, Vues d'Afrique Festival in 2015). He receives the trophy for Best cinema Producer during the award ceremony of the 12 Cultural Personalities of the Year 2015. In 2016, he produced MY SISTER-IN-LAW AT ALL COSTS (MA BELLE SOEUR À TOUT PRIX) directed by Ives Edgard Bonkoungou. 2017 marks the theatrical release of his fifth film MILLIONAIRE'S MADNESS. At the beginning of 2018, Oumar DAGNON went to Guyana with a French production company where he took part in the filming of the Guyane series in the staging team. Back home, he established WAATI GROUP SARL, a new company. With Waati Films, the section of the company dedicated to cinematographic and audiovisual productions, he embarked on the making of his sixth feature film and first auteur film À BOUT DE SOUFFLE, with Issaka SAWADOGO as main actor. This last film earned him the official Panorama feature selection at FESPACO 2019 and the Best French-speaking Africa Screenplay Award at the ZAFAA AWARDS in Abuja, Nigeria in November 2019.
