Reapi Blyde is from Suvalailai, Rewa in Fiji islands.

She first started painting in the late sixties under the tutelage of a New Zealand school-teacher, Ms Marion Bolton.  She also works with recycled materials to make art. She experiments in movement, using finger painting to achieve this effect. Her images are juxtaposed with spiritual sensations, which portrays illusions of reality.

Reapi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts History from the University of Auckland.
