Rebecca is an ex-international athlete, she swam for both Great Britain (GBR) and Kenya over a 10-year career, quitting the 2012 GBR Olympic Team to attend the University of Oxford. Her work now is mostly concerned with Decoloniality through storytelling; her debut documentary, Breakfast in Kisumu (2019), was nominated at Encounters, IDFA, and IndieLisboa film festivals. Her short film work is more experimental, It's Not Us (2020) and No Justice No Peace (2015) explore the internet language of Blackness through the discourse of the BLM movement.
