Born in 1976 in Tunisia, Saïd Kasmi-Mitterrand, is a Franco-Tunisian producer and director. He spent his childhood in editing rooms and on television sets with his father Frédéric Mitterrand.

In 2003, he founded his own documentary film production company and developed an important catalogue on "the art of living" for the TF1 Group, Canal Plus, Orange and TV5MONDE.

He produces the documentaries Christian Dior, La France, Trump, le parrain de Manhattan, Conversation with President Giscard d'Estaing, and L'Enfance de François Mitterrand.

But it is above all the memory of his native country, perceived through the daily life of minorities or the Western gaze, that he wants to capture. After dedicating his first film in 2015 to the Jewish community in Tunisia for TV5MONDE and Histoire, he directed La Tunisie by Jacques Perez in 2018, and La Tunisie by Alexandre Roubtzoff in 2020.

He is currently preparing a film on the Tunisian president Beji Caïd Essebsi, who died in 2019.
