Ishak was born on 14th May 1928 in Guyana.
He studied Art at Government Teachers College in Trinidad.
He was a Cultural Officer in the Ministry of Education and Culture based in San Fernando. He has exhibited widely in mixed exhibitions both nationally and internationally in England, Canada, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
