After eight years of discographic absence, the elegant Wasis Diop is back with a refined & personal project with delicate melodies. Whether sampled by Dr Dre & Track-master for "The Firm", or chosen for the soundtrack of "The Thomas Crown Affair" by John McTiernan with Pierce Brosnan or for the films of a master of French cinema like Techiné... Wasis Diop continues his route with integrity and musical talent that make him an artist impossible to circumvent in World Music. 2007, Wasis Diop will be releasing his long awaited 4th solo album.
..In this life, nothing is static.. The only danger is to not adapt, to not travel, to stay in one spot, musically or spiritually. Our response as musicians must be to go forward...
