Jarida Crafts is a Women and Youth Community Based Organization group based in Kisumu City in Kenya We use recycled materials to make an array of beautiful products, for the market.
We have trained our members on art and crafts skills that has enabled them to be highly innovative and produce impressive and quality products, from the raw materials recycled . Most the raw materials we use are easily available in the local environment and therefore we make treasure out of waste, while in part taking care of the environment.
Jarida crafts was started in 2001 by our Director Lilian Akinyi with only ten members, and they never produce many products.
Currently we have grown to around 87 members, who specialize in making different products and some of our ideas we get them from our clients who always want special designs, we are open and welcome new ideas on creating new products.
