This study addresses the challenges and prospects of managing and developing Uganda's livestock and fisheries resources. The volume is divided into two parts. The first - livestock - deals with: beef production; dairy production; small ruminant production; poultry production; pig production; bee keeping; livestock; diseases and pests; animal feed resources; and pastures and range management. Part two - fisheries - provides a general overview of the fisheries sector in Africa and then of the fish and fisheries of Uganda; the water environment; aquaculture; and post-harvest fisheries.
