This book focuses on video productions from Algerians artists. The interest is justified by the absence of specific studies associated therewith. I first present a historical and sociocultural context that reflects the complex situation of crisis in Algeria during the years ninety, they have contributed, directly or indirectly, to video productions that I will analyze in the second place. I expose the state of art before the advent of Algerian video art. It is necessary to make visible the conditions of use of this medium, and articulate its appropriation in the aesthetic concerns that Algerians artists develop in theirs video artworks. Through the video works, I discuss the main issues involving the relationship between image and sound. This book connects the Algerians artists and Algerian diaspora, a field study that consolidates an analytical and truthful about their artistic intentions. Finally, I move with digital art any dialogue between sound and image in the video, an interactive device that will make possible this relationship in real time.
