We are looking for artists or dancers for the first International Dance Festival to be held in Cape Town November 27 to December 4, 2015.
The Cape Town International Dance Festival will present work that includes local, African and other international artists.
The festival aims to establish an enriching dialogue between different forms of dance as a performed art. An underlying theme of the festival will look at migration as a fundamental aspect in dance, both historically and currently. Film projections and public talks with festival performers will be facilitated between performances.

The festival provides:
·         Artscape Theatre Centre venues for all performances
·         Rehearsal space
·         Technical Manager and support for sound and light
·         Airport transfer to and from Cape Town International Airport
·         Lodging (for those not based in Cape Town)
·         Complimentary tickets to other festival performances
·         Meal vouchers for the Artscape Cafeteria

Interested artists and dance companies should have a minimum of three years' professional experience in dance as a performing art. The application should also include a proposal for dance pieces between 20 and 50 minutes in total duration, and candidates will be selected based on artistic merit.
Interested artists are invited to apply before 10 July, 2015.
Send your full address, contact details and biography in PDF format as well as a link to a video of your piece to:
info@ikapadancetheatre.co.za

·         Successful candidates will be informed via email by 20 July, 2015
·         We look forward to receiving your application!
