The Zanzibar International Film Festival will present its new editing from 14-22 June, with the opening ceremony on 14 June featuring Long Walk to Freedom. There will also be lots of opportunities for people attending to see the latest films from across the African continent, Indian Ocean region and diaspora.
Workshops and fringe events will also offer lots of possibilities for engagement.
A public media event, the Difficult Dialogues Forum, will be held on 18 June to allow the public to debate issues of land and the environment and how they affect them in their daily lives. The event will be screened live on the Zanzibar Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC).
