Chahinaz, a young Algerian woman studying architecture, wonders about her future as a woman in Algeria and more broadly about the law as a lever for equal rights for men and women in the world. Her questioning led her to meet female personalities in Algeria who are fighting for this equality, but also in India, France, the United States at the UN headquarters in New York, and Ireland, where Mary Robinson, president of the country from 1990 to 1997, explained her action. All of them will tell her that progress is being wrenched away because it is given nowhere. It is up to the women themselves to change mentalities, which, often in this field, are out of step with the laws that lead to discriminatory practices. 52' documentary written and directed by Patrice Barrat and Samia Chala produced by Article Z/ITVS International, with the participation of France 5 with the support of CNC, Procirep and Angoa. Delegated production: Patrice Barrat. 2006.
