1990, six ANC students are interviewed before coming home, about their dreams and hopes. Then again 10 years later.
The film starts at the ANC school in Tanzania in 1990, where hundreds of South African exiles are thinking about coming home and the two filmmakers are in exile with them. Six of these students are interviewed and they contemplate what their future will be. Then ten years later the filmmakers find these same students in South Africa and discover if their dreams have come true or not.
