Director Jean-Louis Le Tacon followed a pig farm for three years in the 1970s. A pupil of Jean Rouch, he will do his doctoral thesis. The film will be finalized in 1979 and will have an important career. Through the strength of his testimony, he will become emblematic of an uncompromising view of a certain productivism in the rural world. Shameless exploitation of a young Breton peasant by an implacable financial system, concentrationary treatment of animals, 40 years later, it remains a great contemporary film.

Directed by Jean-Louis Le Tacon.
