It's 1972, in the middle of a southern French forest, with few belongings, the Benamar family discovers the camp that is to be their new home.
Despite the fatherly treatment of the camp's commandant, their lives are difficult and they have no real freedom.

The Benamar's oldest daughter Leila, who's at a rebellious age, rejects this miserable and supervised existence. She has also discovered love for the first time. Leila's father, a product of both war and exile, is used to submitting to authority, but Leila feels that he owes nothing to the French who didn't protect them in Algeria.
