A 90-minute fiction adapted from a true story. The story of Judith Norman, an adoptive mother rejected by her daughter.
Barbara Schulz and Thierry Godard are the stars of this TV movie based on the novel by Judith Norman, author of "Bad Mother: the wounds of adoption". They camp the parents of young Mina (played by Jessyrielle Massengo, photo), a 13-year-old Ethiopian girl whom they adopted as a baby. The couple, already parents of a biological daughter, form a united and happy family. But when Mina is a teenager, everything will change. The young girl becomes aggressive, runs away and rejects her parents. The trauma of abandonment turns into violence.
"Bad Mother" is the story of Judith Norman and her family facing a bad adoption. "She often mistreated me. She tore the things I did, cut my wardrobe to shreds," says Judith Norman in the France 3 report. On her 32nd birthday Mina raised her hand again at Judith because there is no foie gras with the champagne. An event that will lead this adoptive mother to write a book. For five months, she will revisit her life, trying to put together the puzzle of this family drama by questioning each other's responsibilities.
