In REGARD NOIR, French actress and director Aïssa Maïga takes us on an international journey in search of solutions to a problem that has outlived its time: the lack of diversity in the film and television industry. The film features interviews from the likes of Ryan Coogler, director of the feminist film Black Panther, the committed icon Adele Haenel, the game-changer Ava DuVernay, the Brazilian star Tais Araujo, and actresses Firmine Richard, Nadège Beausson-Diagne and Sonia Rolland, who each share their views on the representation of black women on screen.
