"My father died and with him part of my childhood, my certainties, my beliefs and my dreams".

After an absence of ten years, Idrissou Mora-Kpaï returns
to Benin and his family. Against all expectations, this journey provides an opportunity to discover the woman who did only one thing - serve his father : his mother. Having inherited the royal mantle of her husband, she is now a figure of authority for the Wassangari community in the North of the country. Along with the other wife of the deceased, she quickly corrects the image of the ideal father the young filmmaker holds in his memory. Frank and lucid, the two women denounce, at times humorously, a patriarchal system from which the director's sisters and nieces have also suffered.
