On 19 July 2001, a team led by the French palaeontologist Michel Brunet unearthed several fossil bones in Chad, Central Africa, including a remnant of a skull. This fossil is named "Toumaï", which means "hope of life" in the Goran language.
This film tells the story of this adventure through the portrait of Michel Brunet.
