Marie, an Algerian Jewish girl born in Algeria, arrives in Paris to be a model. She meets Ali, born in Paris and of Algerian origin, just out of prison, who dreams of becoming a cosmonaut. They're in love and talk about their respective fantasies. Hunted by drug dealers who want to teach him a lesson, Ali has to run. Marie waits for him at the airport in vain.
