Helena Luoga was born in Dar es Salaam on 11th July 1982. Her mother is from Nakapanya, a member of Omary Amonde´s family. She started to paint at home first, it was her hobby. The interest was intensified when she studied at the nursery school which had the art at the school ciruculum. Her teacher was Maida (he tought Mteko also but now Maido is painting in Mosambique). Helena is single, she lives in Msasani. She likes dancing, watching movies, swimming in the sea. She would like to continue her studies but for economic reasons she paints now at the Cooperative. Helena is painting also abstract but the leadership of the Cooperative does not agree to display her paintings at the studio
