SIMUKA is a Shona word which means "stand up". Simuka Comedy is a stand up comedy night, established in June 2011.It is Zimbabwe's Official Monthly Stand Up Comedy Night. With a fast growing diverse audience base, SIMUKA COMEDY is the realization of a long-term dream to provide a regular home for stand-up comedy and also to develop the art as a regular attraction in the vein of theatre and movies. It has become a place for local comedians both established and upcoming to showcase their great work. Comedians of note that have performed at the comedy night include Edgar Langeveldt, Carl Joshua Ncube, Comrade Fatso ,Michael Kudakwashe and Toropito as well as a number of upcoming young comics.
