A call for African playwrights to submit scripts for a 'Playwriting.Africa.Festival' in Germany, curated by Kuenda Productions and Joanna Evans.
The three selected plays might receive a scenic reading at a theatre, translation into German, and might be published by a German publisher. Authors might be invited to attend the readings in Munich.
Submission:
Please email a word document of the script, accompanied by a press release about the show, and the following information about the author: name, age, country of origin, some biographical information, contact details.

Deadline: 7th September 2014
Applicants will be noted of selection by the end of September.
Selection Criteria:
We are looking for African playwrights, writing in Spanish, English, French, German or Portuguese. Specific interest lies in a contemporary African socio-political perspective. Plays must not have been published yet, but we are looking for plays, that have had at least one professional performance already.
