"Roogo" is the title of the novel which has just been published by the Editions Harmattan. Mouhamadou Ouédraogo, the author, is a reknown journalist, international lecturer, and presently he is the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism of Burkina Faso.
He wrote "Culture et Développement en Afrique" in 2000

"Roogo" is a plea on and for cultural diversity, an enriching and complementary source in the field of social and cultural dynamics.
The setting of "Roogo" is at the time of colonisation ; The kingdom of Roogo, "a federation of cultural and linguistic communities" must face the assaults from the colonial army willing to spread their domination. But Naaba Gandaogo refused to be enslaved and decided to get out to the empire Gagamba where his forefathers were from…
Mahamoudou Ouédraogo, with his writing and alert style, succeeded in advocating for panafricanism and cultural diversity with a lot of talent.
