CALL FOR APPLICATIONS (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
The International Council of African Museums (AFRICOM) is a membership based international NGO for heritage professionals and stakeholders. It is currently recruiting a new Senior Management Team. The composition of the Team shall reflect the following key competencies;
1. Fluency in French and English
2. Proven record of Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
3. People Management
4. Strategic thinking and visioning around heritage issues on the continent and in the international context

Applications are invited for the posts of:
1. Executive Director
2. Sustainability/Fundraising Officer

Main responsibilities of the Executive Director
- Strategic thinking and visioning around heritage issues on the continent and in the international context
- Fundraising and resource mobilization for the organization
- Identification and management of partnerships
- Policy management and implementation
- Overall management of the AFRICOM Secretariat
- Provision of secretarial services to the Board
- Quality assurance for the organization/secretariat
- Delegated spokesperson for AFRICOM

Main responsibilities of the Sustainability/Fundraising Officer
- Identification and management of funding partnerships
- Assist in project identification
- Assisting with the designing of project proposals for fundraising purposes
- Identification of income generating opportunities for AFRICOM
- Development of merchandising packages for AFRICOM
- Broadening funding base for AFRICOM
- Must be a strong team player

Terms:
Both positions shall be on a Three-Year renewable and incentive based contract. Starting salary and benefits shall be competitive, but commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointed candidates shall be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
