It seems there is no stopping for Afro-pop singer, Atumpan this year. A few months after the release of a new single titled Nyash, Atumpan who is popular for controversial songs like, The Thing and Sisi Muden, is out again with a new single, which features Samini.

He calls this one Regina. Recorded by Mix Master Garzy, Regina is the first single released here by Atumpan after a year away in the United Kingdom. Unlike his previous songs, which have tagged him, as controversial, Regina brings out the romantic side of Atumpan as he confesses his love for a lady he fell for at first sight. Her beauty captivates him so much that he wants to marry her.

Crafted as a dialogue between Atumpan and Samini, the duo praises the qualities of Regina, a lady they met at Frankies. As Atumpan extols the physical features of this lady and describes her as "my sweet pretty thing," Samini comes in later to enquire if the said Regina whose praises is being sang is the one he has also fallen in love with: Regina, Regina, my sweet pretty thing Regina. Sexy Regina, Menko medofo Regina You are the sweetest thing and the "wickedest" thing that ever happened to me in my life.

Atumpan told Showbiz that Regina is a new beginning to rebrand himself after his comeback. "I want my fans to have a feel of the romantic side of Atumpan.  My songs have always been seen as controversial. I want to erase that perception and that is why I composed this song," he said.

For one who has been away from the music scene for a while, Atumpan said that he was hopeful his collaborations with other artistes will help him withstand the current stiff competition, adding that he was ready to take his rightful place again on the music front.
