Members of the Dikamawako Arts intend to screen the movie B'ella in all secondary schools across the country under the 'B'ella in schools' project.

Director of the movie and founder of Dikamawako Arts Tawonga Nkhonjera told Malawi News Agency-Mana ahead of the screening of the movie at St Andrews high School on January 22.

"We intend to partner with any interested parties and stakeholders to screen B'ella in all secondary schools. We are not capable financially to carry out such a big project by ourselves but with support from interested parties, we should be able to show the film in all secondary schools," said Nkhonjera.

Asked whether there is any criterion for selection of schools, he said: "As long as it is a secondary school, we are ready to go and show B'ella. If we get financial support, we will go to as many schools. And if there are schools that would love to screen the film, let them invite us to their schools."

Added Nkhonjera: "B'ella is an international film. Anyone who watches the film is touched. That is why the film has been on the festival circuit since July 2014 and continues to attract international attention.

We intend to show this film to at least 10 million Malawians.

"We will show B'ella wherever and whenever we can. Despite B'ella being a secondary school film, it touches on so many issues in life. All family oriented venues can host B'ella. We hope that we will also take the film to colleges and universities and many other venues across the country".

B'ella is a story about teens in Malawi, a school film showing lives of students, their problems  and experiences. Dikamawako Arts are to release the film's DVD soon.
