This call for projects is open to Africans p with films projects developed and need that the film director to be a citizen of in West Africa country.

OUAGA FILM LAB is a knowledge and practice sharing platform between experts and grown young talents of the continent. This is an opportunity to build a strong networking system in the world witch will enhance professional relationship for knowledge sharing addressing African young talents by international experts and practitioners. This event will also establish a meaningful dialogue inside the network Africans young talents and international professionals in the way to debate about films production at local and international level.

The primary aim of OUAGA FILM LAB is to strengthen competitiveness of Africans countries films directors and films producers for various international FILM LAB's and then to facilitate them to get productions budget from local funding systems, to make internationals films productions and at least to be coach by continent mentor.

This call for projects is intended for professionals of the cinema and audiovisual sectors in West Africa and which meet the criteria defined in the settlement document of OUAGA FILM LAB 2016.

Following the call for proposals, a committee will select around 10 film projects and then the authors of these films will be invited to participate in the first edition of OUAGA FILM LAB. The main selection criteria is primarily the artistic quality of the projects and in addition to the sensitivity of the topic addressed.

Registration is free and can be done online at. www.generationfilms.net dedicated to OUAGA FILM LAB. The complete application package should be sent by e-mail at: ouagafilmlab@generationfilms.net before Friday, 1st July 2016 to 00 GMT.

Applications must be written in French, Portuguese or English. Any candidate (director or producer) has the possibility no more than two (2). The application package is:

A synopsis (a maximum of 10 pages or 15000 words),
A statement of intent of the director (1 page)
A statement of intent of the producer(1 page)
The Curriculum vitae (focused on filmography) of the director and producer,
The presentation of the film production company,
The detailed budget in Cfa and euro
The financing plan
The technical and artistic Fiche
A passport photo of the director and producer - JPG format (300 dpi / 10x15 cm)
A copy (web link or DVD) of the last film of the director or producer subtitled in French or English (short and length feature films are accepted).

At the end of a residency training, meetings, project presentations, five (5) prizes will be offer to winners:

The EAVE prize which is a grant to the producer to participate in the next EAVE Producers Workshop in 2017;
The Organisation internationale de la FRANCOPHONIE (OIF) prize which is grant dedicated to develop films;
The „CINEMA DU MONDE/ INSTITUT FRANCAIS" prize to participate in an international writing residency.
The UNICEF prize which is a grant dedicated to develop fiction films which will support the participation
The FIDADOC prize which will support the participation to a documentary project development workshop at the International Documentary Film Festival of Agadir in Morocco.

The first edition of OUAGA FILM LAB planned for September 2016 in Ouagadougou is organized in close collaboration EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs), de l'Institut français (La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde et La Cinémathèque Afrique), IMAGINE Institute, and "Festival international de film documentaire d'Agadir" from Morocco (FIDADOC).

This Event is will be held with the support of donors such as Swiss Cooperation Office in Burkina Faso, UNICEF Burkina Faso, The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), The Regional Audiovisual Attaché of French Embassy in Ivory Coast, Goethe Institute of Ouagadougou and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism
