We are looking for artists/techies/creatives who are interested in art and technology to propose creative art works themed on a combination of these fields. The idea is for you to come up with an exciting proposal in the field of "Digital Art that deals with the topic "(Kenya's) Future". Digital Art in the context of this project is considered as artistic work that uses digital technology as an essential part of the creative or presentation process and proposals for art work and be made in the following areas: Animation, Music Visualization, Net Poetry, Interactive Installations, Gaming amongst others.
The proposal should describe and/or visually conceptualize (storyboards, diagrams or other visual modelling) your project idea as well as include what tools, materials, processes, display and budget costs might be involved. Funding shall be based on the strength of the proposal as well as the integrity of the budget.
iHub and the Goethe-Institut Kenya will select artist proposals from the applications. The respective artists will then be called in and we shall provide the necessary resources to take the projects through to the exhibition phase where the artists' work will be displayed for a full month!
The gathering:  for interested individuals will be an informal but necessary meet up in which artists, techies, engineers and anybody interested in the idea of Digital Art can meet and prepare their ideas! After this gathering we will begin openly accepting proposals. We look forward to seeing you there!
