Veteran guitarist, Ebo Taylor, is still flying high on the international circuit, having kicked off the year with gigs in East Africa.

The 77-year-old player is now in Europe where he has already played two concerts in Hannover and Dortmund in Germany and is billed to feature in a show  tonight, March 20 in Utrecht, Netherlands.

"Ebo Taylor is a wonderful example of what people can do when they are driven by passion. He loves to play music and the world wants to hear what he plays," says Ekow Alabi Savage, drummer for Taylor's Afro-beat Academy backing band.

The Saltpond-born guitarist will head to Belgium for a show (March 21) before jetting off to France for assignments between March 22 and March 29.
He returns to Germany for a bash in Berlin on April 3 and then plays in Finland the next day. The current tour ends in Sweden on April 5.

"The idea is for the old man to rest a bit and prepare for the summer gigs which start in June," drummer Alabi Savage said. Ebo Taylor is one of Ghana's finest composer-arrangers. Apart from his own music, he has written and arranged songs for several musicians in this country including Jewel Ackah, Paapa Yankson, Gyedu Blay Ambolley and Pat Thomas.
