Film director Theo Bizimana has espressed concern over the slow progress in the film making industry in Rwanda. This, he finds, is being caused by piracy of dvds. Having spoken to both distributors and buyers, he says if this issue is not dealt with, no progress will ever be made.

He cites one of the solutions to this problem as being able to reach everyone before pirates do as soon as a film is out on the market.
