Arterial Kenya's monthly artist community forum,#TheCatchup takes place this Saturday 31st May 2014 from 2-5pm at Goethe Institute, Nairobi. We will be looking at the donor landscape in Kenya, new possibilities, way forward in the funding of culture as well as local sponsorships. We have also learned about the culture shift that we must deliver across the arts sector. We must build and strengthen the "culture of asking", which will be so vital for the sector's future. We will be looking at foreign donors, art philanthropists, government funding and crowd funding and asking pertinent questions on where the industry is heading to with or without donor support. Entry is free.
